April 28, 2026, Astana. Data Lab (El Umiti Foundation) and CEGREG (MNU) will host the final event of the "Governance and Connectivity in Central Asia" program - an open platform for dialogue among the region's emerging expert community. After three months of online training and policy brief work, 36 graduate and doctoral students from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and India are ready to present their findings.
Agenda
Scholars will present policy briefs across four thematic tracks: Resources & Energy; Connectivity & Investment; A New Look at Regionalism; and Hydropolitics. A Q&A session will follow each presentation.
Program Background
Over the course of the program, participants completed methodological training in quantitative analysis with Stata, qualitative methods in MaxQDA, data visualization in Adobe Illustrator, and the application of AI tools in research.
