Admissions are now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied. The competition was strong. This cohort brings together participants from 8 countries: Kazakhstan (28), Uzbekistan (4), Kyrgyzstan (2), Azerbaijan (2), and one participant each from Georgia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and India.
In 2026, participants will work in eight thematic groups with mentors and produce applied analytical papers. Mentors will support each group throughout the full research process.
Thematic tracks include:
Regionalism in Central Asia
Hydropolitics and water governance
Investment climate and global value chains
Transport corridors and Eurasian connectivity
Connectivity in Central Asia (policy/economy/strategy)
Critical minerals and the global political economy
Strategic trade controls and sanctions regimes
In February, the program will host online training sessions on data analysis and data visualization.
